Dr. Oetker Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Dr. Oetker is a German multinational company that produces baking powder, cake mixes, frozen pizza, pudding, cake decoration, cornflakes, and various other products. The company is a wholly-owned branch of the Oetker Group, headquartered in Bielefeld.

Cyd shares her experience on Influenster, "Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza Mozzarella was the worst pizza I ever ate. It was nothing short of crackers tomato sauce and cheese, the price was OK but the taste was bland, and the crust was way to thin. My kids pretty much like any frozen pizza but we had to end up tossing half of this out to the stray cats."

Former Employee - Anonymous says

"Not many opportunities for career advancement/growth unless you work at head office in Europe. Managers are a hit and miss. Some are really good and some are really bad. The bad ones can go unnoticed by upper management for quite some time before action is taken. Aspects of job are also controlled by head office"

Packer (Former Employee) says

"the company is a growing one, but the management team is not professional with their duties. They can do a better place to work for all the people that they have there. a big rotation the best workers always quit."

"Management is toxic and only worried about covering their own butt. If you stand up to them regarding safety issues etc. they will do everything in their power to harass and belittle you. Do not work here, you will regret it!! Hopefully Germany's head office will read these reviews and clean house in management before they run this plant into the ground. Some coworkers are awesomeToo toxic for your mental health"

Hygiene Operative (Former Employee) says

"In fairness the job itself was ok & in general the people & management were too.I got into work with them very quickly as this was the C19 situation. So there is no complaint at all. Working Wed-Sun on rotating shifts is more than depressing on a set 40 hour week. This was only temporary & i would of possibly stayed if they had taken my circumstances into account/that i wanted Mon-Fri like everyone else.No life if you have a family.Ok for a younger single person i guess that wants asteady job for a few weeksbut very depressing."

"A industria é boa ,mais para terceirizado não é boa até hoje, salário baixo, sem benefícios, como plano de saúde. o gerente nordeste pessoa muito boa,GILSON LIMA."

Assembler (Former Employee) says

"Job itself is ok and pay is good for the job you have to do, simple activities, no experience needed. But management constantly monitoring you and looking for a reason to fire you, 80% of a team new hires and won’t last more then probation time (3 months)."

Produktion (Former Employee) says

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"Former employee : April 12 2019. Not a very supportive company to work for. Say what they want to cover their own butts I started there in January had some health issues caused me to miss some work. Was put on modified. 2 days before my probation was in. They let me go. Reason. Wasn’t a good fit. When in all honesty I was really a threat to them. Cause I was fighting them in how they treated me with health issues. They should really focus on who’s actually running the show. Like supervisors, HR etc. I feel bad for the ones who have been there since the beginning and are as well on modified work and being treated like a caged animal. And are to afraid of saying anything. I felt I was being bullied and harassed and because they let you go before your probation I was unable to defend myself. In my orientation bullying is unexceptable and modified employees should be treated as an equal. So unfair bad bad management. Hopefully the next one can speak up and not be tossed to the curb before it’s to late.Nice uniforms, clean, funBad bad management full of bs"

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"everyone was very friendly and It was a very clean facility , the product is expensive because its a good pizza but there should be an employee discount."

Production Operative (Former Employee) says

"Shocking company to work for told me the day before my contract ended that I wasnt getting it renewed. Like thanks for the notice, left me right in the s@#t . you get a payrise but they take it straight back off you by saying they aint paying for the breaks anymore, so basically you aint getting a payrise.. joke of a company!"

Human Resources Manager (Former Employee) says

"You feel you are not acknowledged the executive heads were very rude and proud of their heritage. They used the staff when they needed and did not provide proper salaries as per the job call"

Labourer (Former Employee) says

"The facility was an excellent place to work when it first opened. However, changes in management have seen the place deteriorate into a disorganized mess over the past two years. Hostile workers, incompetent managers and overall a poor place to work. Do not expect to make a career here. Utterly disappointing.full time hours, benefitsPoor environment, lack of advancement. No company/employee loyalty."

Packer (Former Employee) says

"I was working hard doing the best for me and the company. Suddenly I was the worst worker and the worst person ever. Someone complaint about me and they never trust me. There's a group of people that like to rule the co-workers there."

Machine Operator (Former Employee) says

"Worked there during covid 19 for three months. Kept getting moved from lines every week. Then got moved upstairs to line 34 that’s when I decided enough is enough. Line supervisor spoke to me like dirt like another member of the team. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Only good thing is free pizzas Free pizzasThe way you get spoken ton"

Factory Worker (Former Employee) says

"I worked at Dr Oetker as a temp on the line for a couple of months after I finished my PhD. The staff are extremely cliquey. The permanent staff do not give you the time of day. When the line was stopped just before they send the next batch down, the staff turn their backs on you and chat away. When you try to have any kind of conversation with them they barely even look at you and give one or two word answers. In my entire 2 months I must have had the equivalent of 5 minutes worth of conversations with people I saw everyday. When I started, the manager showed me how to straighten the pizzas as they come down the line then I never saw or spoke to him again. You are stood for 4 hours at a time doing extremely monotonous work at great pace. You get 30 minutes break 15 of which is wasted getting out of the factory and back again so in reality you get around 15 minutes to eat something and sit down. Not a single happy momentLong time on feet in one spot working very fast. Cold factory, cold people, cold management, extremely poor pay, 30 minutes break (15 minutes in reality). Extremely isolating job."
